Nonionic surfactant properties
Non-ionic surfactant is a surfactant whose main hydrophilic group is the ether group which does not dissociate in aqueous solution, and its surface activity is reflected by neutral molecules. Non-ionic surfactants have high surface activity, good solubilization, washing, antistatic, calcium soap dispersion and other properties, little irritation, and good wetting and washing functions. It can be used in a wider pH range than general ionic surfactants, and can also be used together with other ionic surfactants. Adding a small amount of non-ionic surfactants to ionic surfactants can improve the surface activity of the system. According to the structure of the hydrophilic group, non-ionic surfactants can be divided into polyoxyethylene type, polyol type, alkolamide type, polyether type, oxide amine type, etc. A nonionic surfactant is a surfactant that does not produce ions in an aqueous solution. It is different from anionic and cationic surfactants. Compared with anionic surfactants, non-ionic surfactants have higher emulsification ability and certain resistance to hard water, and are the types and applications of non-ionic surfactants in the formulation of cleaning agents and emulsifiers.
